Dementia Friendly Kiama Project won the Excellence in Community Partnerships Award at the recent National Disability Awards on Monday 7th Nov. The ward was accepted by Nick Guggisberg -Manager of Community and Cultural Development and Kiama Council Mayor Councillor Mark Honey at the awards dinner on Monday night. In accepting the award they highlighted that the award reflects the work of many people and organisations, particularly those people living with dementia and more broadly the interconnectivity of our community. It is a great credit to every single person involved in this project and the community as a whole.
