Dementia Friendly Kiama Showcase

Dear Friends of the Dementia Friendly Kiama Project,

 It is with great pleasure that I write to invite you to the Dementia Friendly Kiama Showcase and Official Announcement of the Extension of the Project for an additional 12 months. This event is scheduled for Friday, 24 June 2016 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Kiama Anglican Church, 1 Terralong St, Kiama.

 This event will celebrate what we have achieved in the Kiama pilot to date, and recognise the contribution of an IRT Community Foundation grant and other financial contributors to the project including Alzheimer’s Australia NSW, Kiama and Districts Chamber of Commerce, and Kiama Rotary. We will present an overview of how the funding will help us to move Kiama from Dementia Friendly to Dementia Enabling. A distinguished guest from Scotland, Agnes Houston, will give a special presentation on the importance of dementia friendly communities and their key features.
